Eagle Creek Park

On Saturday Mike and I went to Eagle Creek Park. This is the statue at the entrance to the park.

Our first stop was at the bird rescue cage. There was a red-tailed hawk and a turkey vulture, just like the ones that we had in our backyard.

Here is the view by the bird cage. This area is a bird sanctuary.

Here is the Douglas Fir brought here from Oregon. Unfortunately, some morons had to carve their initials and spray paint the front of the tree.

As we were driving down down to the beach area, we spotted this little deer eating by the parking lot. She didn't pay any attention to us at all. Makes us think that people are ignoring the 'Don't feed the deer' signs.

This was our first visit to the park. We didn't have a lot of free time since we were on our way to our niece's softball game. We enjoyed our time there, though, and we'll return soon for a picnic and some walking and bird watching and maybe even some swimming.
