Grilled Venezuelan Hot Dogs

This is my take on a simple recipe I found on the Food Network's site.

You'd be surprised as to just how good these are.

Makes: 8 hot dogs
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes


  • 8 hot dog buns
  • 8 hot dogs
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1/4 head green cabbage
  • 3 large handfuls potato chips
  • Mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup to taste

1. Cook the hot dogs and brown the buns as desired.

2. Meanwhile, cut the onion into chunks and place into a food processor. Pulse until the onion is very well chopped. Remove.

3. Cut the cabbage into small chunks and place into the food processor. Pulse until finely chopped. Remove.

4. Place potato chips in resealable bag and crush with your hand.

5. Put dogs in buns and top with onions, cabbage, and chips. Add mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup.
