Crispy Apple Chips

These are so easy to make, and rather tasty too.

You can use whatever spice mix you prefer. Next time, I think I'll try some Creole.

One apple will fill about 2 baking sheets, so depending on the size of your oven and how many sheet pans you have, you might want to do just one apple at a time.

I found the original idea on the Leanna bakes blog.

Ingredients:

  • An apple, sliced very thin on a mandolin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1. Preheat oven to 220 F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. Place apple slices on parchment paper, but do not let them touch.

3. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.

4. Bake for 1 hour. Carefully flip each slice and bake another hour. Remove to cooling racks to let the chips crisp up.
